Course Title: A Common Sense Approach to Risk Assessment
Course Overview: The emphasis will be on implementing risk assessment treatment planning (Kois center principles) on every patient that comes through our Hygiene recare appointments. This philosophy has made our purpose very clear: Empower our patients to make health care decisions to improve or maintain their quality of life by using a common sense approach to risk assessment.
- The objective is to give the dental team the tools and common language for the office to introduce risk assessment on every patient on an every day basis.
- The objective of risk assessment should be that it is cost effective, easy to use, easy to understand both to staff and patients , be evidenced based and have simple outcomes. It is a “Checklist Manifesto” to adequately classify risk and disease till the next review that will make patients aware of risk and empower them to make treatment choices that best fit their needs and wants.
Intended Audience: Dentist and Team (Hygienist must attend)
